Current Projects
ABLE undertakes Local Practice Projects to develop resources that support better local practice compliance and workmanship outcomes.
Three types of resources are developed:
- Compliance & Workmanship Information: published as Local Pratice Notes that report on research and investigation into a specific issue.
- Recognised Local Practices: that credential local building practices as being DTS compliant.
- Acceptable Local Practices: that describe Building Work and the associated Work Practices.
When a Building Professional contacts ABLE about a compliance and/or workmanship issue that is likely lead to a useful local outcome, ABLE posts a Project Explanation in the Local Practice Project List below and invites regulators, building companies, suppliers and experts-in-their-field to contribute to the project.
Projects are undertaken when the required support and resources are in place.
The Contribution Registry lists and acknowledges the contributors for each project. If you have an issue that needs a local practice solution and/or if your company is willing to contribute to a current project, then contact ABLE.
