Unless specifically indicated otherwise, Common Practice Resources within this As-Built Learning Exchange are available for use:
- Free of charge by building professionals.
- By non-building professionals only if written approval is given by As-Built Learning Exchange Pty Ltd (Company).
Building professionals means natural persons who earn their living in building and construction by undertaking hands on activities involved in the preparation of proposals, plans and supporting documentation and the corresponding and subsequent operational practices connected with building and construction work.
Subject to the above Common Practice Resources can be freely copied, distributed to other building professionals and adapted to suit individual needs and situations. Building professionals who wish to contribute to the development of their industry are invited to communicate their user experiences and/or send new or adapted content to As-Built Learning Exchange so that new Common Practice Resources can be added and existing Common Practice Resources can be reviewed and improved.

Currency of Material
The Building Code of Australia is amended every year, Australian Standards, Manufacturer Directions and the like change over time, errors in existing As-Built Learning Exchange (ABLE) material can be discovered, and new issues continually emerge.
Building professionals must familiarise themselves with the BCA, Australian Standards and Manufacturer Directions to ensure the material they are using is currently applicable. The Amendment Register explains the material version protocol used for ABLE Common Practice Resources, and provides indicative descriptions when amendments are made to published material.
Building professionals who wish to contribute to the development of their industry are invited to feedback their user observations and/or suggestions for revised content to ABLE so that material can be continuously reviewed and improved.

Privacy Policy
As-Built Learning Exchange (ABLE) acts to provide useful information to building professionals working in the building industry in exchange for learning about their at-work experiences and issues. This exchange works best when the people contributing their at-work experiences know that their personal and business details will remain confidential.
ABLE values individual and business privacy.
Individual user information provided to ABLE will only be used for the purpose of notifying that person of new information and resources. It will not be intentionally released, sold, rented or shared unless required by a Government agency by law.
Generic user information will be used to better understand how resources are being used, and to demonstrate to Common Practice Supporters how ABLE resources are being used.
Personal, business, building site or other specific details provided to ABLE will not be used or intentionally released.
